What is Munathara?
Amplifying Youth Voices Across Morocco
The Munathara Initiative is a pioneering platform that promotes inclusive, independent, and tolerant public discourse. Our mission is to provide a space for all—especially youth, women, and marginalized communities —to express themselves and engage in open, constructive debates on political, social, and cultural issues.
In Morocco, we are building bridges between young people and their communities through programs that foster civic engagement, dialogue, and critical thinking. We champion values of transparency, inclusion, and participation—ensuring that every voice can shape the future.
Our Activities
From hands-on media workshops to national podcast production, our activities are designed to equip youth with the theoretical and practical techniques they need to express their opinions and participate in our shows. With over 1,200 applicants and 120+ participants across Morocco, our impact continues to grow—thanks to a model that is both inclusive and scalable.
Regional & National Training Workshops
We organize interactive training sessions across Morocco to build youth skills in communication, journalism, and debate. The type of trainings are in-person, online and practical.
Youth-Led Podcasts and Web Shows
Young participants engage in web shows, radio shows and podcasts by sharing their perspectives and helping shape discussion topics—an experience that strengthens their public speaking, debate skills, and civic awareness.

Omour T’hemna
(Web Radio Program)
In partnership with FMAS (Forum des alternatives Maroc), Oumour T’hemna is a regional initiative that blends media production with civic training. Through tailored workshops in public speaking, debate, and journalism, young participants develop key communication skills before contributing to the production of web-radio episodes addressing pressing local issues such as waste management, healthcare, and education. The program is implemented in collaboration with associative radio stations across the 12 Moroccan regions, ensuring a diverse and grounded perspective.
Aji Netna9chou
(National Podcast Series)
“Aji Netna9chou” (Let’s Discuss) is a podcast produced as part of the Oumour T’hemna project. Through specialized training in critical thinking, debate and public speaking, youth are prepared to engage in meaningful dialogue. They collaborate with experts to explore key national topics—from digital transformation to gender equality—sharing informed perspectives in every episode.
Jeel Al Jay (Youth Web-TV Show)
Jeel Al Jay is one of our flagship web shows. Its goal is to foster the next generation of youth leaders in the public sphere. The project provides a platform for young people to engage in debates, discussions, and dialogues. In its first edition in Morocco, the topic of the discussion was about the Family Code reform.

The Munathara Initiative is looking for a production firm to collaborate on the production of “Jeel Al Jay” in Morocco, a web-TV series designed for young Arabic-speaking audiences!
Al Jeel El Jay” is a fresh and dynamic web series targeting youth aged 16-28. With an informal and engaging style, the show will spark discussions on social, political, and cultural topics, resonating with the vibrant spirit of Arabic digital content. Episodes will be produced and promoted across social media platforms to maximize reach and impact.
